Three factors shape the taste of your tea:

1. Amount of water
The more water, the lighter the flavour; the less water, the stronger. We suggest 250 ml (a large mug) for our Tea Crystals—adjust up or down to suit your preference.

2. Water temperature
Never use boiling water.

3. Type of water
The ideal choice is slightly alkaline, low-mineral spring water (pH 8–9, TDS <90). Filtered water works well; boiled tap water is acceptable but carries its own taste. Avoid boiler-spout water—it’s often stale.

Tea is naturally more subtle and delicate than coffee—the water you use makes all the difference.
Feel free to add lemon, honey, nut or plant “milks” or creamer, cinnamon, nutmeg, collagen peptides or any other natural flavor-enhancers you would like. These will not detract from the health benefits of the tea. And if they’re more likely to help you drink tea every day – all the better!
